• Getting here and location

    The Oskar Reinhart Museum is located in Winterthur city centre between Stadthausstrasse and the 'Stadtgarten' (City Park). It can be reached using various modes of transport. From Winterthur railway station, you can take bus no. 1, 3, 5 or 10 to the 'Schmidgasse' stop.

    Trains regularly depart from Zurich central railway station to Winterthur; the S12 commuter train leaves for Winterthur every half an hour from the Zurich-Stadelhofen railway station. The train journey takes 19 minutes. Zurich Airport is not far from Winterthur; there are regular train connections between the airport and Winterthur. The journey takes 13 minutes. The train journey from St. Gallen to Winterthur takes 45 minutes.

    You can walk from Winterthur railway station to the Oskar Reinhart Museum in 5 minutes.

    If you are travelling by car and coming from the Zurich direction, take the A1 motorway and leave at the 'Töss' exit. If you are coming from the St. Gallen direction take the A1 motorway, leave at the 'Ohringen' exit and drive towards the city centre; the way to the Museum is signposted. There are two car parks near the Museum, called Stadttheater and Manor.
